1. INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENTS AND REGENERATION
Our adsorbents have already been used and validated to remove dissolved contaminants such as non-biodegradable organic compounds (dyes, microplastics, aromatic organic compounds and other recalcitrant organic matter), oils, heavy metals (copper, iron, zinc, nickel, chromium, selenium, aluminium) and other inorganic salts (phosphates, nitrates, sulphates, chlorates, ammonia, potassium and boron).
Eliminating this type of pollutants is crucial in industrial sectors that generate highly polluted wastewater, such as the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, mining, textile or agri-food industries, among others.
After treating the water and removing this type of pollutants, this resource can be discharged into the general sewer network in compliance with current regulations (without having to pay the cost of a waste manager) or be reused by the factory itself to be reintroduced into its production processes.
2. PURIFICATION AND REGENERATION OF OTHER TYPE OF WASTEWATERS
Our adsorbents are able to remove salts and dissolved pollutants in groundwater and aquifers that have been contaminated by industrial and human activity.
We can also treat water from other sectors such as hotels, laundries, hospitals and the retail sector that may contain waste that is difficult to treat using conventional processes.
In this way, these waters can be reused for use in the production chain of the corresponding companies.
3. VALUABLE COMPOUNDS RECOVERY FROM AGRIFOOD SECTOR
Our adsorbents can extract dissolved valuable compounds from wastewater and release them in a concentrated and aggregated form in the washing process of these materials for its use in successive purification cycles.
Through the concentrated release of these compounds in the desorption process of our adsorbents, they can be filtered and recovered for reuse or subsequent purification.
Within the agri-food sector, the main industrial niches where these processes can be applied are the olive, beer and wine sector (for the recovery of polyphenols), industrial farms (for the recovery of ammonia, phosphate, potassium and other salts), or irrigation waters (for the recovery of dissolved fertilizers), among others.

DEVELOPMENT OF PROOF OF CONCEPT FOR NEW INDUSTRIAL SECTORS AND APPLICATIONS
When we start a project within a new sector or industry, we always start the project with a first validation in the laboratory, in order to optimize our adsorbents and washing media for the specific pollutants and needs of the customer´s wastewater.
After this first step, we scale the process to pilot and semi industrial scale in our facilities, in order to give a specific and pre validated process that finally will be implemented in industrial scale into the factory of the client.
